Monroe Academy had already won four in a row (a stretch where they outscored their opponents by an average of 12.5 points) and they went ahead and made it five on Monday. They simply couldn't be stopped as they easily beat the Clarke Prep Gators 64-23. That looming 64-23 mark stands out as the most commanding margin for the Volunteers yet this season.

Monroe Academy's victory was their third straight at home, which pushed their record up to 6-4. Those victories came thanks to their offensive performance across that stretch, as they averaged 59.3 points per game. As for Clarke Prep, they are on a 17-game losing streak (dating back to last season) that has dropped them down to 0-7.

Monroe Academy and Escambia Academy will face off at 4:30 a.m. on Tuesday without much rest having both just played. Escambia Academy will roll in looking for their 13th straight win, something Monroe Academy surely won't give up without a fight. Clarke Prep does not have any more games scheduled as of now.
