Softball Preview: Camelback Spartans vs. Cesar Chavez Champions
Camelback hasn't had much luck against Cesar Chavez recently, but that could start to change on Tuesday. The Spartans will take on the Champions at 3:45 p.m. Cesar Chavez took a loss in their last matchup and will be looking to turn the tables on Camelback, who comes in off a win.
Camelback took a 18-run loss the last time they faced off against South Mountain, but this time they managed to keep it close and that made all the difference. The Spartans narrowly escaped with a win as the team sidled past the Jaguars 15-14. The victory was a breath of fresh air for the Spartans as it put an end to their ten-game losing streak.
Kyliana Massey was excellent, going 2-for-4 with two runs and two RBI. Those two RBI gave her a new career-high. Samay Ramos also deserves some recognition as she brought in her first RBI of the season.
