Basketball Recap: Port Isabel Has No Trouble Against Grulla

Port Isabel won the last time they faced Grulla and things went their way on Tuesday too. The Port Isabel Tarpons were the clear victor by a 50-27 margin over the Grulla Gators. For those keeping track at home, that's the biggest win the Tarpons have posted against the Gators since February 4, 2020.

Port Isabel's victory ended a three-game drought at home and bumped them up to 5-13. As for Grulla, they have been struggling recently as they've lost ten of their last 13 contests, which put a noticeable dent in their 7-14 record this season.

Both teams will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. Port Isabel will head out to face off against Hidalgo at 6:30 p.m. on Friday. Hidalgo will roll in looking for their fifth straight win, something Port Isabel surely won't give up without a fight. As for Grulla, they will square off against Valley View at 6:30 p.m. on Friday.
