Putnam County entered their tilt with Princeton on Monday with four consecutive wins, and they'll enter their next game with five. They came within a single run of losing the streak, but they secured a 2-1 W against the Tigers. That's more bragging rights for the Midgets, who also won the pair's last head-to-head.

Putnam County's win was their sixth straight at home, which pushed their record up to 22-3. Those home victories came thanks in part to their hitting performance across that stretch, as they averaged 9.0 runs over those games. As for Princeton, they are on a three-game losing streak that has dropped them down to 8-11.

Putnam County wasted no time getting back out on the field and has already played their next contest, a 3-1 loss against Macon on the 6th. As for Princeton, they will face off against Green City at 5:00 p.m. on Thursday. The Gophers will roll in looking for their 13th straight win, something the Tigers surely won't give up without a fight.
