Football Recap: Byron Nelson Has No Trouble Against Frenship + How To Watch

Byron Nelson had to travel to play their first game of the season, but the final result was worth the trip. Everything went their way against the Frenship Tigers on Thursday as they made off with a 30-7 win. The final result isn't all that surprising considering the Bobcat's considerable advantage in MaxPreps' Texas football rankings (they are ranked 33rd, while the Tigers are ranked 105th).

Parker Almanza was a one-man wrecking crew as he threw for 178 yards and a pair of TDs while completing 71.4% of his passes, and also rushed for 63 yards and one touchdown. Another player making a difference was Franck Makong, who gained 93 total yards and a touchdown.

Despite the loss, Frenship still got an impressive performance from Chase Campbell, who picked up 113 receiving yards and one score.

Byron Nelson has already played their next matchup, a 38-21 loss against Lewisville on the 4th. As for Frenship, they also wasted no time getting back out on the field and have already played their next contest, a 33-26 defeat against Memorial on the 5th.
