The Druid Hills Red Devils are taking a road trip to challenge the Southwest DeKalb Panthers at 7:00 p.m. on Friday. Expect the scorekeeper to be kept busy: if their previous games are any indication, these teams will really light up the scoreboard.

Druid Hills' defense heads into the matchup hoping to repeat the dominance they displayed on Thursday. They claimed a resounding 34-0 win over Clarkston. The victory continues a trend for the Red Devils in their matchups with the Angoras: they've now won four in a row.

Druid Hills relied on the efforts of Malachi Pace, who threw for 196 yards and three touchdowns, and Jackson Hampton, who rushed for 87 yards and one TD. Those 196 passing yards gave Pace a new career-high.

Meanwhile, winning is always nice, but doing so behind a season-high score is even better (just ask Southwest DeKalb). They took their game on Friday with ease, bagging a 69-0 win over Northview. Considering the Panthers have won five contests by more than 30 points this season, Friday's blowout was nothing new.

Druid Hills' record now sits at 4-5. As for Southwest DeKalb, their record is now 7-2.

Druid Hills took a serious blow against Southwest DeKalb in their previous meeting back in November of 2024, falling 48-14. Can the Red Devils avenge their loss or is history doomed to repeat itself? We'll find out soon enough.
