Softball Recap: Hayward Extends Winning Streak to Four

Hayward had already won three in a row (a stretch where they outscored their opponents by an average of 5.7 runs) and they went ahead and made it four on Thursday. Everything went their way against the Cameron Comets as they made off with a 12-1 win. The Hurricanes might be getting used to big wins seeing as the team has won 11 matchups by six runs or more this season.

Hayward's victory was their third straight on the road, which pushed their record up to 17-10. The road wins came thanks in part to their hitting performance across that stretch, as they averaged 10.0 runs over those games. As for Cameron, with the loss, they broke their six-game winning streak and moved their record to 14-9.

As of now, neither Hayward nor the Comets have any future games scheduled.
