Softball Recap: Voorhees Vikings vs. Bound Brook Crusaders
Voorhees was the 15-2 winner over Bound Brook when they last played one another back in May of 2021, but their luck changed this time around. The Voorhees Vikings lost 14-4 to the Bound Brook Crusaders on Wednesday. Voorhees has now taken an 'L' in back-to-back games.
For Bound Brook's part, Isabella Marusiak made a big impact no matter where she played. She looked comfortable on the mound, pitching six innings while giving up just two earned (and two unearned) runs off six hits. Marusiak was also stellar in the batter's box, going 2-for-3 with a home run and three RBI.
In other batting news, Bound Brook let Rachael Gurczeski and Katelyn Cunha loose on the outfield. Gurczeski scored three runs and stole two bases while going 2-for-3, while Cunha scored two runs while going 3-for-5.
