Basketball Recap: Eagle Point Takes a Loss

Eagle Point was not able to break out of their rough patch on Friday as the team picked up their seventh straight loss. They took a 74-56 bruising from the Thurston Colts. While losing is never fun, the Eagles can't take it too hard given the team's big disadvantage in MaxPreps' Oregon basketball rankings (they are ranked 171st, while the Colts are ranked 26th).

Eagle Point's defeat dropped their record down to 4-9. As for Thurston, their win was their fifth straight on the road, which pushed their record up to 10-3.

Eagle Point will square off against Klamath Union at 7:30 p.m. on Wednesday. As for Thurston, they will host North Eugene at 7:00 p.m. on Tuesday. North Eugene is strutting in with some offensive muscle as they've averaged 59.5 points per game this season.
