Baseball Game Preview: Pottstown Trojans vs. Upper Perkiomen Indians

Pottstown is 0-10 against Upper Perkiomen since April of 2021 but things could change on Tuesday. The Trojans will head out to challenge the Indians at 4:00 p.m. Pottstown has given up an average of 14.2 runs per game this season, but Tuesday's game will give them a chance to turn things around.

Pottstown's last matchup with Upper Merion Area could've gone either way, but unfortunately the same can't be said for the pair's contest on Wednesday. The Trojans lost 16-0 to the Vikings.

Pottstown saw two different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was Semaj Laws, who went 1-for-2 with two stolen bases. Mason Hoffman also deserves some recognition as he snagged his first stolen base of the season.

Meanwhile, it may have taken nine innings to finish the job, but Upper Perkiomen ultimately got the result they hoped for on Wednesday. They sure made it a nail-biter, but they managed to escape with a 5-4 win over Pope John Paul II. The game was the first time the Indians have beaten Pope John Paul II on their field since March 30, 2022.

Ben Godshall was excellent, going a perfect 2-for-2 with one stolen base and two RBI. That's the most RBI he has posted since back in April of 2025. Jordin Dice was another key player, going 1-for-4 with two stolen bases and one run.

Pottstown's loss dropped their record down to 0-5. As for Upper Perkiomen, their record now sits at 8-1.

Pottstown suffered a grim 9-1 defeat to Upper Perkiomen in their previous meeting back in May of 2025. Can the Trojans avenge their defeat or is history doomed to repeat itself? We'll find out soon enough.
