Volleyball Recap: Foshay Takes a Loss

Foshay lost against Port of Los Angeles back in August of 2024, and unfortunately they wound up with the same result on Wednesday. The Wolverines fell just short of the Polar Bears by a score of 3-2. While the Wolverines didn't get the win, they did start the game off strong, beating the Polar Bears 25-15 in the first set.

Foshay started the match hot and won the first two sets, but they struggled down the stretch and lost the last three. Once all was said and done, the final score wound up at 15-25, 24-26, 25-15, 25-22, 17-15.

Leading Port of Los Angeles to victory were Kyla Yun and Rachel Leyva. Yun had nine digs and five aces, while Leyva had nine kills, seven digs, and four aces.

Foshay's defeat dropped their record down to 0-2. As for Port of Los Angeles, they have started the season off flawlessly and has a 2-0 record to show for it.

Both teams will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. Foshay is packing up and heading out for their first away game of the season: they will take on Maywood CES at 4:30 p.m. on Wednesday. As for Port of Los Angeles, they will take on Central City Value at 2:00 p.m. on Wednesday.
