Baseball Recap: Leigh Snaps Four-Game Streak of Wins at Home

It's hard to turn regular season success into postseason wins, a fact Leigh can now relate to. They fell just short of the Capuchino Mustangs by a score of 5-3 on Saturday. The Longhorns were given a dose of their own medicine in this game as the Mustangs apparently hadn't forgotten their defeat the last time these teams played back in February of 2018.

Leigh saw three different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was Noah Miller, who went 2-for-3 with two RBI and one double. Brandon Kim was another, getting on base in all four of his plate appearances with one run and one double.

Leigh's loss ended a four-game streak of wins at home and dropped them to 21-7. As for Capuchino, they have been performing incredibly well recently as they've won eight of their last nine matches. That's provided a nice bump to their 18-10 record this season.

Leigh does not have any more games scheduled as of now. As for Capuchino, they will square off against Wilcox at 7:00 p.m. on Tuesday. The Chargers' pitching crew has only allowed 2.9 runs per game this season, so the Mustangs' hitters will have their work cut out for them.
