Jabarri Williams leads a balanced attack to beat Lee County

Recap: Valdosta Wildcats vs. Lee County Trojans

The Valdosta Wildcats won the last time they faced the Lee County Trojans, and things went their way on Monday too. Valdosta enjoyed a cozy 60-46 win over Lee County. The win was all the more spectacular given Valdosta's disadvantage in MaxPreps' Georgia basketball rankings (they are ranked 64th, while Lee County is ranked 14th).

Valdosta's victory was a true team effort, with many players turning in solid performances. Perhaps the best among them was Jabarri Williams, who dropped a double-double on 12 points and ten assists. Another player making a difference was Israel Jenrette, who dropped a double-double on ten points and 16 rebounds.

The victory makes it two in a row for Valdosta and bumps their season record up to 15-5. As for Lee County, their defeat dropped their record down to 13-3.

Valdosta will head out on the road to face off against Colquitt County at 7:30 p.m. on Tuesday. Lee County won't have much time to rest: their next match is against Houston County at 7:30 p.m. on January 16th. One thing working in Houston County's favor is that they have posted big point totals in their last five games.
