Basketball Recap: Harding County Takes a Loss

Harding County lost against Dupree back in January of 2024 and unfortunately they wound up with the same result on Tuesday. The Harding County Ranchers fell 61-52 to the Dupree Tigers.

When it comes to explaining why Harding County lost, don't look at Cohen Smith. Despite the final result, he went 8 for 10 on his way to 18 points and seven rebounds. What's more, Smith also racked up two assists, the most he's had since back in January of 2024. Ryder Hunsucker was another key player, putting up 11 points.

Even though they lost, Harding County was working as a unit and finished the game with 15 assists. That's the most assists they've managed all season.

Harding County's loss dropped their record down to 3-3. As for Dupree, they picked up their first road win, bumping their record up to 8-2.

Coincidentally, both will both be playing Lemmon the next time they take the court. Dupree will host Lemmon at 4:30 p.m. on Thursday, while Harding County will host them at 6:00 p.m. on January 21st.
