Softball Recap: Bangor Sets Scoring Season-High Against Mt. Ararat

Winning is always nice, but doing so behind a season-high score is even better (just ask Bangor). They blew past the Mt. Ararat Eagles 14-1 on Monday. The Rams haven't had any issues with the Eagles recently, as the game was their sixth consecutive victory against them.

Bangor let Sophie Lynch and Abby Folsom run wild. Lynch went a perfect 4-for-4 with three doubles, three RBI, and one run, while Folsom went 3-for-4 with three stolen bases, two runs, and two RBI. Those four hits gave Lynch a new career-high. Gabby Raymond also deserves some recognition as she scored her first run of the season.

Bangor always had someone on base and finished the game having posted an OBP of .636. That's the best OBP they've posted all season.

Bangor's record now sits at 10-3. As for Mt. Ararat, this is the second loss in a row for them and nudges their season record down to 3-9.

Both teams will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. Bangor will face off against Hermon at 4:30 p.m. on Tuesday. The Hawks will roll in looking for their tenth straight win, something the Rams surely won't give up without a fight. As for Mt. Ararat, they will take on Camden Hills at 4:30 p.m. on Wednesday.
