Basketball Recap: Coldwater Cavaliers vs. Van Wert Cougars
The Coldwater Cavaliers won the last time they faced the Van Wert Cougars, and things went their way on Tuesday too. Coldwater breezed by the Cougars at home to the tune of 58-28. The win made it back-to-back wins for Coldwater.
Coldwater has been performing well recently as they've won three of their last four matchups, which provided a nice bump to their 7-10 record this season. As for Van Wert, they are on a four-game losing streak that has dropped them down to 4-14.
Coldwater will be playing in front of their home fans against the Tigers at 7:00 p.m. on Thursday. Versailles presents a significant challenge as they come into the match much higher ranked than the Cavaliers in Ohio (the Tigers are ranked 121st, while the Cavaliers are ranked 405th). As for Van Wert, they will head out on the road to challenge the Indians at 7:30 p.m. on Thursday. The timing is sure in Shawnee's favor as the team sits on five straight wins at home while the Cougars have been banged up by four consecutive losses on the road.
