Baseball Recap: West Point Wins Going Away Against Shannon

West Point lost to Shannon back in February, but they didn't allow them the same satisfaction on Tuesday. The Green Wave blew past the Red Raiders 13-2. The victory made it back-to-back wins for the Green Wave.

Dawson Tyler looked comfortable as he pitched one inning while giving up no earned runs or hits.

On the hitting side, Quenshawn Posely was a standout: he scored three runs and stole two bases while going 3-for-4. He is becoming a predictor of West Point's success: when he posts at least two runs the team is undefeated (and 5-20 when he doesn't). The team also got some help courtesy of Reco Collins, who went 3-for-4 with one triple, two RBI, and one run.

West Point always had someone on base and finished the game having posted an OBP of .594. They easily outclassed their opponents in that department as Shannon only posted an OBP of .318.

West Point's victory bumped their record up to 10-20. As for Shannon, they are on a 12-game losing streak that has dropped them down to 7-20.

As of now, neither West Point nor the Red Raiders have any future games scheduled.
