Softball Recap: Moses Brown Comes Up Short in High-Profile Game with North Kingstown

Moses Brown faced North Kingstown in a battle between two of the state's top teams on Saturday. The Quakers lost 12-2 to the Skippers. The Quakers were not able to repeat the success they had when they faced the Skippers earlier this season, when they won 11-7.

Moses Brown saw four different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was Celia Bodurtha, who went 1-for-2 with one run and one double.

This is the second loss in a row for Moses Brown and nudges their season record down to 5-9. As for North Kingstown, the win made it two in a row for them and bumps their season record up to 7-10.

Both teams will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. Moses Brown will head out to take on East Providence at 4:30 p.m. on Tuesday. The Quakers are facing the Townies at the right time seeing as the Townies are stuck on a four-game losing streak. As for North Kingstown, they will venture away from home to challenge Cranston West at 2:00 p.m. on Sunday.
