Maximus Barroso Turns in Season-Best Effort
On Friday, Chino got the W thanks in part to Maximus Barroso playing the best football he has all season. Barroso threw for 266 yards and three touchdowns while completing 77.3% of his passes, and also rushed for 57 yards and two touchdowns on only five carries.
The victory snapped Chino's winning streak at six games dating back to last season and leaves them with a 1-5 record. Barroso and Chino will stay at home for another week and welcome Los Altos at 7:00 p.m. on Friday.

South Hills was led to victory by Tyler Arguinzoni, who turned in his biggest game of the season on Friday. Arguinzoni rushed for 149 yards and three touchdowns.
South Hills' win was their third straight on the road, which pushed their record up to 3-3. Arguinzoni's next game is against Walnut on Thursday, where he'll look to repeat that solid performance.

On Friday, Los Altos had to settle for second even though Giovanni Gaeta put up the best numbers he has all season. Gaeta picked up 102 receiving yards and two touchdowns.

Jacob Duronslet Goes Supernova in Covina Victory
Covina found a leader in Jacob Duronslet as the team took down Los Altos on Friday. Duronslet did his part (and then some), rushing for 113 yards and two touchdowns on only 11 carries, while also throwing for 151 yards on ten of 27 attempts for the 'W'.
Covina pushed their record up to 5-1 with the victory, which was their third straight at home. Duronslet and Covina will challenge Diamond Bar at 7:00 p.m. on Thursday.

Rounding off our Top Five is Quinton Mendoza of Diamond Bar. Mendoza threw for 134 yards and three touchdowns, and also punched in a touchdown on the ground.
If the past is any indication, Mendoza could be in store for another big game when he takes on Covina on Thursday. Back in August of 2023 (the last time Mendoza saw the Colts), he threw for 295 yards and three touchdowns while completing 80% of his passes.
