Softball Recap: Nicolet Takes a Loss

Nicolet was not able to break out of their rough patch on Thursday as the team picked up their 26th straight defeat dating back to last season. They might be feeling deja-vu: they lost 15-0 to the Cedarburg Bulldogs, which was the same score (and result) they got the week prior. If the Knights were looking for revenge after losing 15-0 to the Bulldogs when the teams met back in May of 2024, then they'll just have to keep looking.

Nicolet's loss dropped their record down to 0-5. As for Cedarburg, their victory was their fifth straight at home dating back to last season, which pushed their record up to 6-1.

We've got plenty of inter-conference action coming up soon. Nicolet will take on rival West Bend East at 4:30 p.m. on Tuesday. Meanwhile, Cedarburg is set to square off against their familiar foe West Bend West at 4:30 p.m. on Tuesday. The two teams have allowed few runs on average (the Bulldogs 2.9, the Spartans 3.4) so any runs scored will be well earned.
