Volleyball Recap: Severance Comes Up Short

Severance lost against Berthoud back in October of 2024 and unfortunately they wound up with the same result on Tuesday. The Silver Knights lost 3-0 to the Spartans.

The final score came out to 25-18, 25-19, 25-16.

Isla Jacobo paced Severance's offense, picking up seven kills. Jacobo got some help from Sophia Atkinson and her 17 assists. Jacobo also made an impact serving: she shared the team lead in aces with Presley Korte, each putting up two.

Severance has been struggling recently as they've lost five of their last six contests. That's put a noticeable dent in their 3-6 record this season. As for Berthoud, the victory keeps them at an undefeated 12-0.

We've got plenty of inter-league action coming up soon. Severance will take on rival Northridge at 6:30 p.m. on Thursday. Meanwhile, Berthoud is set to face off against their familiar foe Roosevelt at 6:30 p.m. on Thursday.
