Baseball Recap: Umatilla Wins Going Away Against Riverside

Umatilla had lost three games straight , but after bumping their record up to 12-9 on Tuesday that streak is in the rearview. They were the clear victors by an 11-1 margin over the Riverside Pirates. That's the second time they've managed to beat them this season, as they also won 13-3 back in April.

The team relied heavily on David Garcia, who went 2-for-3 with two stolen bases, three RBI, and two runs. That's the most stolen bases he has posted since back in April. Another player making a difference was Linkin Zamudio, who went a perfect 3-for-3 with three RBI and two doubles.

Umatilla always had someone on base and finished the game having posted an OBP of .520. They are a perfect 4-0 when they post an OBP of .513 or better.

As for Riverside, they have traveled a rocky road recently, having lost nine of their last 12 contests. That's put a noticeable dent in their 5-12 record this season. They just can't catch a break and have now endured three losses in a row.

On Riverside's side, they saw three different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was Colby Crowell, who went 1-for-3 with one run and one double.

As of now, neither Umatilla nor the Pirates have any future games scheduled.
