Preview: Broken Arrow Tigers vs. Bixby Spartans
Broken Arrow has enjoyed the comforts of home their last two games, but now they'll head out on the road. They will challenge the Bixby Spartans at 6:30 p.m. on Tuesday. Both teams come into the contest bolstered by wins in their previous matches.
Last Friday, Broken Arrow earned a 57-44 victory over Jenks. Given Broken Arrow's advantage in MaxPreps' Oklahoma basketball rankings (they are ranked 47th, while Jenks is ranked 164th), the result wasn't entirely unexpected.
It was another big night for Macy Marraccini, who dropped a double-double on 21 points and 12 rebounds. She is on a roll when it comes to steals, as she's now grabbed two or more in the last ten games she's played. The team also got some help courtesy of Peyton Dolan, who scored 12 points.
Meanwhile, Bixby put the finishing touches on their fifth blowout victory of the season on Friday. They blew past Muskogee 62-36. For those keeping track at home, that's the biggest victory Bixby has posted since December 12, 2023.
Broken Arrow has been performing well recently as they've won eight of their last ten matchups, which provided a nice bump to their 10-5 record this season. As for Bixby, the win makes it two in a row for them and bumps their season record up to 7-4.
Broken Arrow took a serious blow against Bixby when the teams last played back in January of 2023, falling 67-36. Can Broken Arrow avenge their defeat or is history doomed to repeat itself? We'll find out soon enough.
