Basketball Game Preview: Michigan Collegiate Cougars vs. Lincoln-King Academy Eagles

The Michigan Collegiate Cougars and the Lincoln-King Academy Eagles will compete for holiday cheer at 7:00 p.m. on Wednesday.

Michigan Collegiate is coming in off a wild two-game stretch: after soaring to 62 points on Saturday, they were much more limited against River Rouge on Monday. They were dealt a 60-22 defeat at the hands of the Panthers. The Cougars haven't had much luck with the Panthers recently, as the team's come up short the last two times they've met.

Meanwhile, Lincoln-King Academy entered their tilt with Hazel Park on Monday with two consecutive wins but they'll enter their next game with three. They enjoyed a cozy 65-47 victory over the Vikings. While the Eagles didn't have the best season last year (they finished 1-17), it's starting to look like those struggles are a thing of the past.

Michigan Collegiate now has a losing record at 1-2. As for Lincoln-King Academy, their win bumped their record up to 5-1.

Everything went Michigan Collegiate's way against Lincoln-King Academy in their previous meeting back in December of 2023, as Michigan Collegiate made off with a 64-39 victory. Will Michigan Collegiate repeat their success, or does Lincoln-King Academy have a new game plan this time around? We'll find out soon enough.
