Game recap: Jackson High School Football Team takes down Central

JACKSON, Ga. - Central (Macon, Ga.) was defeated by Jackson (Ga.), 38-21.

After trailing 24-0 at the half, the Chargers went ahead on a touchdown pass by De'Eric Bell to Rontavious Miller with 9:00 remaining in the third.

Jackson expanded its lead to 38 points entering the fourth quarter. JHS scored two times in the third, including once on a touchdown pass by Bell to Miller.

The victory was a step in the right direction for the Red Devils, who were coming off a 50-49 defeat at the hands of Henry County in its previous game. The loss was the third in a row for Central. The victory snapped Jackson's three-game losing streak.

In a AAA Region 2 game next week Jackson (2-7) takes on Carver, and Central (1-8) will go up against Pike County also in a AAA Region 2 game.
