Austin and Riverside are an even 5-5 against one another since December of 2015, but likely not for long. The Panthers will head out to square off against the Rangers at 7:30 p.m. on Friday. Neither squad made it on the board the last time they hit the pitch, so they've probably got a bit of extra motivation.

Austin is probably headed into the match with a chip on their shoulder considering San Elizario just ended the team's four-match winning streak on Tuesday. They came up short against the Eagles, falling 5-1.

Meanwhile, Tuesday just wasn't the day for Riverside's offense. They fell just short of Ysleta by a score of 1-0 on Tuesday. Riverside have struggled against Ysleta recently, as the game was their fifth consecutive lost matchup.

Austin's defeat dropped their record down to 10-7. As for Riverside, their loss dropped their record down to 5-10.

Austin skirted past Riverside 2-1 in their previous matchup back in January. The rematch might be a little tougher for the Panthers since the team won't have the home-pitch advantage this time around. We'll see if the change in venue makes a difference.
