Baseball Recap: Niskayuna Comes Up Short

Niskayuna was not able to break out of their rough patch on Wednesday as the team picked up their third straight loss. They fell 8-4 to the Averill Park Warriors. Unfortunately, that's the second time they've come up short against the Warriors this season, as they also lost their prior matchup 7-6 on Monday.

Niskayuna now has a losing record of 5-6. As for Averill Park, they are on a roll lately: they've won seven of their last eight games. That's provided a nice bump to their 10-3 record this season.

We've got plenty of inter-league action coming up soon. Niskayuna will face off against rival Shenendehowa at 4:15 p.m. on Friday. Meanwhile, Averill Park is set to challenge their familiar foe Shaker at 4:15 p.m. on Friday.
