Volleyball Recap: New Washington Mustangs vs. South Ripley Raiders

New Washington lost against South Ripley back in August and unfortunately they wound up with the same result on Saturday. The Mustangs took a 2-0 hit to the loss column at the hands of the Raiders. The Mustangs have now taken an 'L' in back-to-back matches.

Once all was said and done, the final score wound up at 25-13, 25-17.

Kaylee Lawrence paced New Washington's offense, picking up four kills. Lawrence got some help from Addy Lathem and her eight assists. Finally, Abby Newcomb kept New Washington's defense grounded, leading the team with two blocks.

New Washington's loss dropped their record down to 8-20. As for South Ripley, the victory was the third in a row for them, bringing their record up to 17-12.

New Washington wasted no time getting back out on the court and has already played their next matchup, a 2-0 win against Switzerland County on the 11th.
