Soccer Recap: Foley Takes a Loss

Foley lost against Fairhope back in March, and unfortunately they wound up with the same result on Tuesday. The Lions took a 3-1 hit to the loss column at the hands of the Pirates. That's two games in a row now that Foley have lost by exactly two goals.

This is the second loss in a row for Foley and nudges their season record down to 4-13-2. As for Fairhope, the victory (which was their third in a row) raised their record to 8-4-2.

Foley and Fairhope could both be facing uphill battles in their next games considering their disadvantage in the MaxPreps Alabama Rankings. The Lions (ranked 95th) will meet Metro Christian (ranked 31st) at 6:00 p.m. on Thursday. Meanwhile, Fairhope will square off against James Clemens at 6:00 p.m. on Thursday with a big rank disadvantage (43 vs. 5).
