Basketball Recap: Mackenzie Mcclain Key Part of a Team Effort in Longhorns Win

Multiple players turned in solid performances to lead Johnson County to victory, but perhaps none more so than MacKenzie McClain, who went 5 of 12 en route to 17 points in addition to five assists and three steals. McClain is on a roll when it comes to steals, as she's now grabbed three or more in the last three games she's played. Izzy Thompson was another key player, putting up ten points.

Johnson County has been performing well recently as they've won three of their last four matches, which provided a nice bump to their 10-17 record this season. Those victories came thanks to their offensive performance across that stretch, as they averaged 51.8 points per game. As for Lebanon, their defeat dropped their record down to 4-14.

Johnson County wasted no time getting back out on the court and has already played their next game, a 54-30 loss against Chuckey-Doak on the 31st. As for Lebanon, they will host Chilhowie at 6:00 p.m. on Monday. Lebanon is facing Chilhowie at the right time seeing as Chilhowie is stuck on a three-game losing streak.
