Baseball Game Preview: Clearfield Falcons vs. Box Elder Bees

For the second straight game, Clearfield will face off against Box Elder. The Falcons will welcome the Bees at 3:30 p.m. on Friday.

Clearfield is headed in fresh off scoring the most runs they have all season. They put the hurt on Box Elder with a sharp 17-10 win on Thursday.

For Box Elder's part, Maddox Earnest was cooking despite his team's loss, going 1-for-4 with one home run, three RBI, and two runs. The Bees are 2-1 when Earnest posts two or more runs, but 4-11 otherwise. Another player making a difference was Korbin Jeppesen, who went a perfect 4-for-4 with one stolen base and one run.

Clearfield has been performing incredibly well recently as they've won 11 of their last 12 games. That's provided a massive bump to their 11-10 record this season. The victories came thanks in part to their hitting performance across that stretch, as they averaged 10.4 runs over those games. As for Box Elder, they moved to 6-12 with that defeat, which also ended their four-game winning streak.
