Basketball Recap: Lawson Takes a Loss

Lawson was not able to break out of their rough patch on Tuesday as the team picked up their fourth straight loss. They might be feeling deja-vu: they lost 51-37 to the North Platte Panthers, which was the same score (and result) they got the week prior. While losing is never fun, the Cardinals can't take it too hard given the team's big disadvantage in MaxPreps' Missouri basketball rankings (they are ranked 401st, while the Panthers are ranked 114th).

Lawson's defeat dropped their record down to 8-20. As for North Platte, the victory (which was their sixth in a row) raised their record to 22-5.

Looking ahead, Lawson will take on Penney at 7:30 p.m. on Friday. As for North Platte, they will be playing at home against Lathrop at 8:00 p.m. on Friday. North Platte is facing Lathrop at the right time seeing as Lathrop is stuck on a three-game losing streak.
