Soccer Game Preview: Braxton County vs. Westside

The Braxton County Eagles will face off against the Westside Renegades at 6:00 p.m. on Wednesday. One thing working in Braxton County's favor is that they have posted at least four goals every time they've taken the pitch this season.

Braxton County's defense heads into the matchup hoping to repeat the dominance they displayed last Saturday. They put the hurt on Williamstown with a sharp 6-0 win. Fans of Braxton County have seen this all before: every one of the games they've played this season has ended in a blowout of 3+ goals.

They hit Williamstown with a three-pronged attack, as the team got scores from Zack McQuain (3), Peyton Sharp (2), and Josh Anderson.

Meanwhile, Westside's game on Thursday was all tied up 0-0 at the half, but sadly for them it didn't stay that way. They fell just short of Mingo Central by a score of 1-0. Westside have struggled against Mingo Central recently, as the game was their fifth consecutive lost matchup.

Westside's defeat dropped their record down to 0-16. As for Braxton County, their victory bumped their record up to 19-0.
