Basketball Game Preview: Elgin Wildcats vs. Georgetown Eagles

Elgin hasn't had much luck against Georgetown recently, but that could start to change on Tuesday. The Elgin Wildcats will be playing at home against the Georgetown Eagles at 7:00 p.m. Both teams took a loss in their last game, so they'll have plenty of motivation to get the 'W'.

Last Friday, Elgin ended up a good deal behind Weiss and lost 55-38.

Georgetown has been a dominant force so far, but they're in the middle of a mini-slump at the moment. They were five points away from ending the streak, but they lost a 65-60 heartbreaker at the hands of East View.

Elgin's defeat dropped their record down to 12-11. As for Georgetown, their loss ended a three-game streak of wins at home and dropped them to 18-10.

Elgin was taken down by Georgetown 55-28 in their previous matchup back in December of 2024. That game was all but decided by halftime, at which point Elgin was down 31-11.
