Volleyball Game Preview: Decatur Central Hawks vs. Perry Meridian Falcons

For the first time this season, Decatur Central will have a chance to prove themselves in a conference matchup. They will square off against the Perry Meridian Falcons at 7:00 p.m. on Monday.

Decatur Central saw some tournament action on Saturday. They fell 2-0 to Monrovia. The Hawks have now taken an 'L' in back-to-back games.

The match finished with set scores of 25-15, 25-16.

Meanwhile, Perry Meridian faced Southport in a battle between two of the state's top teams on Friday. The Falcons came out on top in a nail-biter against the Cardinals, sneaking past 3-2. The victory made it back-to-back wins for the Falcons.

Perry Meridian took Southport into a fifth set where they got it done with a three-point win. Once all was said and done, the final score wound up at 23-25, 25-23, 21-25, 25-20, 15-12.

Decatur Central's defeat dropped their record down to 0-2. As for Perry Meridian, their victory bumped their record up to 5-2.
