Recap: Eureka Loggers vs. Enterprise Hornets

If the Eureka Loggers were riding high off their 70-34 takedown of the West Valley Eagles on Thursday, their most recent game may have dampened their spirits a bit. Eureka received a tough blow on Friday as they fell 58-44 to Enterprise. The result shouldn't come as a shock considering that's the fewest points Eureka has scored all season.

Eureka's defeat came despite a true team effort from the offense, with many players turning in solid performances. Perhaps the best among them was Elijah Estrada, who scored nine points. Another player making a difference was Jahmil Rippy, who scored eight points.

Eureka bumped their record down to 9-6 with that loss, which was their third straight on the road. As for Enterprise, the win was the eighth in a row for them, bringing their record for this year to 13-3.

Eureka won't have much time to rest: their next matchup is against Mt. Shasta at 3:00 p.m. on December 30, 2023. Enterprise won't have much time to rest: their next game is against University Prep at 4:30 p.m. on December 30, 2023. University Prep will have to bring their A-game into this one, as they are staring down a pretty big deficit in the MaxPreps California Rankings (they are ranked 591st, while Enterprise is ranked 219th).
