St. Mary's Academy piles up the points against SkyView Academy

Recap: St. Mary's Academy Wildcats vs. SkyView Academy Hawks

In what's become a running theme this season, the St. Mary's Academy Wildcats gave their fans yet another huge victory on Thursday. They blew past SkyView Academy 50-12 on the road. The victory was just what St. Mary's Academy needed coming off of a 65-25 loss in their prior match.

Hazel Mills continued her habit of posting crazy stat lines, scoring ten points along with eight steals and seven assists. The team also got some help courtesy of Julia Stehno, who dropped a double-double on 13 points and 12 rebounds.

Perhaps unsurprisingly given the score, SkyView Academy struggled to work together and finished the game with only an assist. That's the fewest assists they've managed all season.

St. Mary's Academy has been performing well recently as they've won four of their last five matches, which provided a nice bump to their 8-5 record this season. As for SkyView Academy, their loss was their third straight at home, which dropped their record down to 4-6.

St. Mary's Academy's road trip will continue as they head out to face St. Mary's at 7:00 p.m. on January 30th. St. Mary's knows how to get points on the board -- the squad has finished with flashy point totals in its past three matches -- so hopefully St. Mary's Academy likes a good challenge. As for SkyView Academy, they the luxury of staying home another game and will welcome Denver Christian at 1:30 p.m. on January 27th. Denver Christian presents a significant challenge as they come into the match much higher ranked than SkyView Academy in Colorado (Denver Christian is ranked 97th, while SkyView Academy is ranked 240th).
