Baseball Game Preview: Oak Ridge Blue Jays vs. New Madrid County Central Eagles

The Oak Ridge Blue Jays will head out on the road to take on the New Madrid County Central Eagles at 4:30 p.m. on Thursday. Given that the two teams suffered a loss in their last games, they both have a little extra motivation heading into this contest.

Oak Ridge made up a huge gap compared to their last game against Saxony Lutheran, but they still couldn't quite topple them. The Blue Jays fell just short of the Crusaders by a score of 5-3 on Wednesday.

Oak Ridge saw three different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was Landon Burnett, who went 2-for-3 with one stolen base and one run. That run was Burnett's first of the season.

Meanwhile, New Madrid County Central was not able to break out of their rough patch on Monday as the team picked up their fourth straight loss. They took a 5-0 hit to the loss column at the hands of Risco.

New Madrid County Central's defeat dropped their record down to 1-9. As for Oak Ridge, they now have a losing record of 6-7.
