The Avoyelles Charter Vikings will head out to square off against the Grace Christian Warriors at 5:30 p.m. on Thursday. Both squads will be entering this one on the heels of a big victory.

Avoyelles Charter's pitching crew heads into the matchup hoping to repeat the dominance they displayed on Wednesday. They blew past Peabody 15-0.

Janiya Heath made a splash no matter where she played. She looked comfortable on the mound, tossing one inning while giving up no earned runs or hits. Heath was also stellar in the batter's box, going a perfect 2-for-2 with two runs, one triple, and one double. She also put up an RBI, which was her first of the season.

She is on a roll when it comes to RBI, as she's now brought in three or more in each of the last three games she's played. Sydney Avery was another key player, scoring two runs and stealing three bases while going 2-for-4.

Grace Christian's victory was their fourth straight on the road, which pushed their record up to 12-7. The wins came thanks in part to their pitching effort, having only surrendered 1.8 runs on average over those games. As for Avoyelles Charter, their record now sits at 8-12.
