Baseball Game Preview: St. Thomas More Academy Chancellors vs. Trinity of Durham and Chapel Hill Lion

The St. Thomas More Academy Chancellors will take on the Trinity of Durham and Chapel Hill Lion at 4:00 p.m. on Thursday. Having both just faced considerable losses, both teams are looking to turn things around.

For some reason, the away team has come away with the win the last four times St. Thomas More Academy and Thales Academy Apex have met, but the home crowd finally got their W on Wednesday. The Chancellors lost 12-2 to the Titans. That's two games in a row now that the Chancellors have lost by exactly ten runs.

Meanwhile, Trinity of Durham and Chapel Hill came up short against Asheville Christian Academy on Saturday, falling 14-4. The Lion have now taken an 'L' in back-to-back games.

Trinity of Durham and Chapel Hill saw six different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was Nathaniel Allen, who went 1-for-3 with one triple, one run, and one RBI. Another was N J Uhlenberg, who scored a run and stole a base while going 1-for-3.

St. Thomas More Academy's defeat dropped their record down to 1-5. As for Trinity of Durham and Chapel Hill, they now have a losing record of 4-5.

St. Thomas More Academy might still be hurting after the 15-1 loss they got from Trinity of Durham and Chapel Hill when the teams last played back in April of 2024. Can the Chancellors avenge their defeat or is history doomed to repeat itself? We'll find out soon enough.
