Basketball Recap: Sedgwick's Losing Streak Snapped at Six Games

After low-scoring totals in their previous three contests, Sedgwick brought some dynamite into their most recent matchup. They enjoyed a cozy 56-42 win over the Pretty Prairie Bulldogs on Monday. Considering the Cardinals' offense had been struggling lately, the high-scoring outing was a much-needed turnaround.

When it comes to explaining why Pretty Prairie lost, don't look at Cordell Colton. Despite the final result, he posted 14 points. The team also got some help courtesy of Evan W Young, who almost dropped a double-double on 14 points and nine rebounds.

With the victory, Sedgwick broke their six-game losing streak and moved their record to 2-6. As for Pretty Prairie, they have been struggling recently as they've lost four of their last five games, which put a noticeable dent in their 4-5 record this season.

Coincidentally, both will both be playing Central Christian Academy the next time they take the court. Sedgwick will head out to face Central Christian Academy at 7:30 p.m. on Tuesday, while Pretty Prairie will host them at 7:00 p.m. on Thursday.
