Softball Recap: Perry Pumas vs. Hamilton Huskies
Perry lost a close one when they played last Thursday but unfortunately for them the defeat they were handed on on Monday was a bit more commanding. Their rough 11-4 loss to the Hamilton Huskies might stick with them for a while. Perry was given a dose of their own medicine in this game as Hamilton apparently hadn't forgotten their defeat the last time these teams played back in May of 2023.
Perry saw eight different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was Rachel Connors, who went 1-for-2 with an RBI.
On Hamilton's side, Amirah Lenon was incredible, going 3-for-4 with a home run, three runs, and three RBI. Another player making a difference was Quinn Salazar-Stewart, who went 2-for-3 with a home run and three RBI.
Perry dropped their record down to 8-14 with that loss, which was their fifth straight at home. As for Hamilton, their victory bumped their record up to 15-7.
While Perry had to take the loss, they won't have to wait long to give it another shot: the pair's next game is a rematch scheduled at 3:45 p.m. on Wednesday.
