Football Recap: Firebaugh Takes a Loss

Firebaugh lost against Coalinga back in October of 2024 and unfortunately they wound up with the same result on Friday. The Eagles and the Horned Toads were almost perfectly matched up, but the Eagles suffered a 15-14 loss.

Although Firebaugh took the loss, they still got scores from Alex Rosa and Ryan Luna.

Coalinga's win was a true team effort, with many players turning in solid performances. Perhaps the best among them was Gracin Redding, who threw for 157 yards and two TDs while completing 75% of his passes, and also rushed for 50 yards. The Horned Toads' leading receiver Jd Reed was Redding's top target yet again, picking up 90 receiving yards and one score.

Firebaugh's defeat dropped their record down to 3-3. As for Coalinga, their victory bumped their record up to 4-2.

Firebaugh wasted no time getting back out on the field and has already played their next contest, a 35-3 win against Tranquillity on the 10th. As for Coalinga, they have also already played their next matchup, a 51-7 victory against Avenal on the 10th.
