Video: High school girls basketball player makes half-court buzzer beater with back to basket

Most players need to be looking at the basket to sink a half-court shot, but not Jessica Younker.

Go find the nearest hoop and try to make a half-court shot. Now try doing it without looking at the basket first.

It's no easy task, but center Jessica Younker of Tecumseh (Lynnville, Ind.) managed to pull it off a couple of weeks ago as the first quarter buzzer sounded against Springs Valley (French Lick, Ind.).

Younker finished with 18 points in the game, but none as impressive as the three she scored after catching the ball facing the sideline, turning and heaving all in one motion.

"The crowd reaction was spectacular," said Jessica's father Nick Younker.

Jessica is currently looking for college basketball opportunities, and shots like this will certainly help get coaches' attention.
