Basketball Game Preview: Community Christian Cyclones vs. Faith Christian Academy Conquerors

Community Christian has won five straight games at home, while Faith Christian Academy has won five straight on the road, but those streaks won't matter much on Friday. The Cyclones will welcome the Conquerors at 7:30 p.m. Both squads will be entering this one on the heels of a big victory.

On Tuesday, everything came up roses for Community Christian against Trinity Christian as the squad secured a 62-26 victory. The final result isn't all that surprising considering the Cyclones' considerable advantage in MaxPreps' North Carolina basketball rankings (they are ranked 120th, while the Tigers are ranked 468th).

Multiple players turned in solid performances to lead Community Christian to victory, but perhaps none more so than Pierce Stone, who almost dropped a double-double with ten points and nine steals. Those nine steals gave Stone a new career-high. Another player making a difference was Sam Allegood, who shot 50% from the field en route to 13 points and seven boards.

Community Christian smashed the offensive glass and finished the game with 15 offensive rebounds. That strong performance was nothing new for the team: they've now pulled down at least eight offensive boards every time they've taken the court this season.

Meanwhile, Faith Christian Academy blew past Raleigh Christian Academy, posting a 65-31 win.

Community Christian's victory bumped their record up to 7-1. As for Faith Christian Academy, their win bumped their record up to 11-1.

Everything went Community Christian's way against Faith Christian Academy in their previous matchup back in February, as Community Christian made off with a 68-47 victory.
