Softball Recap: Poynette's Undefeated Season over After Six Games

Poynette fell victim to Johnson Creek and their airtight pitching crew on Friday. They took a 4-0 hit to the loss column at the hands of the Bluejays. The loss was the Pumas' first of the season.

Having lost for the first time this season, Poynette fell to 5-1. As for Johnson Creek, the win (which was their sixth in a row) raised their record to 6-1.

Looking ahead, Poynette will welcome Pardeeville at 5:00 p.m. on Monday. The Bulldogs have struggled to contain batters this season (they've allowed 11.2 runs per game on average), something the Pumas will no doubt try to take advantage of. As for Johnson Creek, they will take on Fort Atkinson at 5:00 p.m. on Monday. The Bluejays' pitchers better be ready for this one: the Blackhawks have averaged an impressive 8.5 runs per game this season.
