Volleyball Recap: Raymond Central Comes Up Short on the Road Against Malcolm

Raymond Central had to hit the road for their first game and it wasn't the result they were hoping for. They lost 3-0 to the Malcolm Clippers on Thursday. The defeat continues a trend for the Mustangs in their meetings with the Clippers: they've now lost six in a row.

Raymond Central was held off the scoreboard, but that almost wasn't the case: they kept the second set very close. The match finished with set scores of 25-20, 25-23, 25-15.

Alexa Otto paced Raymond Central's offense, picking up six kills. Otto got some help from Savannah Masek and her 17 assists. Julia Shultz controlled things from the service line, finishing with three aces.

Raymond Central is taking a road trip to square off against Logan View/Scribner-Snyder on Thursday. As for Malcolm, they will be playing at home against Aurora on Tuesday.
