Recap: Arp Tigers vs. Quitman Bulldogs
The Arp Tigers won the last time they faced the Quitman Bulldogs, and things went their way on Friday too. Arp claimed a resounding 47-16 victory over Quitman on the road. Arp pushed the score to 40-8 by the end of the third, a deficit Quitman cut but never quite recovered from.
Frank Smith continued his habit of posting crazy stat lines, throwing for 339 yards and three touchdowns while completing 78.6% of his passes, and also punching in three touchdowns on the ground. Smith is on a roll when it comes to rushing touchdowns, as he's now punched in two or more in the last four games he's played. Demarcus Wade was in the mix too, providing Arp with two touchdowns.
Arp is on a roll lately: they've won three of their last four games, which provided a nice bump to their 6-3 record this season. As for Quitman, they are on a four-game losing streak that has dropped them down to 3-5.
Arp will look to defend their home field on Friday against Edgewood at 7:30 p.m. Edgewood is also coming in off of a big victory, so somebody is in for a big reversal of fortune. As for Quitman, they will head out on the road to face off against West Rusk at 7:30 p.m. on Friday. West Rusk will be looking to keep their four-game home win streak alive.
