Basketball Recap: Make It Three in a Row for Nimitz

Nimitz had won two straight games and Jimiren Ratliff did his part to make it three on Tuesday. The Nimitz Cougars came out on top against the MacArthur Generals by a score of 76-66 thanks in part to Ratliff, who went 13 for 17 on his way to 37 points and five rebounds. His evening made it five games in a row in which he has scored at least ten points.

Another player making a difference was Malachai Augustus, who went 5 of 6 en route to 12 points along with eight boards and four steals. That's the most steals he has posted since back in December of 2023.

Nimitz now has a winning record of 14-13. As for MacArthur, they dropped their record down to 8-14 with the defeat, which was their third straight on the road.

Nimitz will head out to face off against Aldine at 7:00 p.m. on Friday. One thing working in Aldine's favor is that they have posted at least 55 points in their last four matchups. As for MacArthur, they will face off against Eisenhower at 7:00 p.m. on Friday. Eisenhower knows how to get points on the board -- the team has finished with 55 points or more in their past three games -- so hopefully MacArthur likes a good challenge.
