Washington and Uwharrie Charter Academy squared off in some playoff action on Tuesday, but Washington had to settle for second. They came up short against the Eagles, falling 3-0. The Pam Pack's defeat signaled the end of their four-game winning streak.

Washington took the loss but they managed to make steady progress, increasing their score in every set they played. The final score came out to 25-7, 25-8, 25-11.

Riley O'Neal paced Washington's offense, picking up five kills. O'Neal got some help from Naomi Huss and her four assists. Finally, Brooklyn Bowes kept Washington's defense grounded, leading the team with four blocks.

Among those leading the charge was Sadie Upchurch, who had eight digs and three aces.

Washington's loss dropped their record down to 12-11. As for Uwharrie Charter Academy, the win was the 21st in a row for them, bringing their record up to 25-3.
